About Me
- Name: Justy
- Location: BC, Canada
I'm the proud Momma of "Son" who was born at home in Aug 2003.
I discovered eBooks back in 2005 when I got my iPaq 2490. Once I discovered I could have as many books as I wanted with me all the time without breaking my back I was hooked. The best thing is the development of eInk eBook Readers, specifically the Cybook and BeBook. Much nicer on my eyes, I don't think I'll ever go back to paper books again. In fact I still have a paperback to finish that I started in December 2007, just before I got my Cybook. I may have to find it in eBook format. :)

After Christmas
Christmas was exciting this year.
- First because we weren't sure if we were going to be able to go to the Island or not. Cole was sick from December 15 till December 22 with a fever and flu symptoms till the end, poor kid. Then he shared his flu with us and I wasn't better until Friday morning December 24th.
- We finally caught the ferry to Departure Bay on the 25th at 8:30am. If you ever want to be on a quiet Ferry, the 25th is a great day for it! Hardly anyone on the ferry and everyone in a pretty good mood.
- Then we drove to Duncan and visited with Hubby's family for a while and opened presents. SIL didn't believe that Cole was better because as soon as we walked in the door Cole started to cough on his drool. And there was a lot of drool as the kid is working on 4 teeth at once. SIL was convinced that Cole was still a carrier and wouldn't let him near her daughter for most of the visit.
- Then we drove back to Nanaimo for Christmas dinner with my family. We were having a good visit and dinner was almost ready when Cole tripped over my cousin's food while holding Thomas the Train. This resulted in a lot of tears and a lot of blood. When we finally got the bleeding slowed down we found that he had a pretty big cut on the inside of his lip. So off to the Hospital we went. After a 40 min wait/visit we were on our way back to Christmas dinner with the knowledge that his lip would heal fine on it's own and that his teeth were all still safe.
- Then back to Duncan for bedtime! What a day!
- We stayed in Duncan until Tuesday so that we wouldn't be rushing quite as much on the way home.
I had a knitting themed Christmas this year. I got 5 of the knitting books on my list which should keep me busy reading and knitting for a while:
- Weekend Knitting by Melanie Falick
- Vogue Knitting on the Go: Caps & Hats
- Vogue Knitting on the Go: Caps & Hats Too
- The Knitting Experience Book 1: The Knit Stitch by Sally Melville
- Knit Wit: 30 Easy and Hip Projects by Amy R Singer
Oh Yeah, and I did manage to finish the gift boa scarf for Cole's Daycare provider. Just under the wire. I finished it at 1am on December 24th, it was given to her just 12 hrs later at 1pm. She was very surprised to get a gift from us, which make it more fun to give the gift. I will post a picture when Hubby gets it off his camera for me.
